I have been working down my pantry for a few months. I found that I have 4# of powdered sugar. Since I do NOT bake or put a lot of glaze on stuff, I am wondering how I can use this up.

    Any ideas?

That's kind of a tough one. Powdered sugar contains some cornstarch so it's not suitable for some things - sweetening iced tea for example. You could make a mountain of sweet and sour chicken ...

    Interesting challenge!

Muddy Buddies (otherwise called Puppy Chow) use a lot of powdered sugar.

Good one! Even tho it's a sweet, no baking is required.

I can't stand the taste of powdered sugar so I say go ahead and toss it (ever so gently so it doesn't fly over your kitchen) into the garbage...

Scottish shortbread -- oh, but that involves baking. But not a lot of work or ingrediencea-- just flour, powdered sugar, and lots of butter, and a long time at a low temp.

Both Swiss and Italian Meringue call for granulated sugar. Can you taste the cornstarch?

I use both. Never noticed the cornstarch, or any real difference (though never tried them side by side), perhaps because the chocolate chips are a distraction. Just need to slow the mixer waaay down for the powdered if you don't want to be powdering your wig.
