Post #1 - April 15th, 2024, 7:34 pmSmash Sandwich Cafe is a new restaurant on the Evanston/Chicago border. I've seen some raves on another site, so we're going to try it out for ourselves!
As always, all are welcome to join us! If possible, please post a note if you're planning to attend, so that we can arrange the appropriate size table for the group.

Post #13 - May 13th, 2024, 11:18 amNot obvious when you drive in - in addition to the parking spaces on the west side of the building, if you drive to the right of it, there are a few more spaces east of it.

Post #14 - May 13th, 2024, 3:51 pmTo get this out of the way... This place wasn't the best for a big group to come in to share their sandwiches. They didn't have extra plates, the sandwiches were messy (think warm and gooey), the "pay at the counter" doesn't work the best for the group, etc.
That being said, I thought the sandwiches were very good! All of them were delicious. And they were generous with the protein portion sizes, which is sometimes the downfall of some other sandwich places. The fact that the sandwiches were messy was only a minor inconvenience, but one to be aware of. I would be happy to go back - or to get the sandwiches to go.
