It is! Can you imagine the time someone took to find and sync all those Count clips to the song? A work of love, for sure. Funny thing, I found it a couple of years ago and it kept getting changed to a children's video with commenting not allowed. I know it was changed to that at least twice. It seems that Youtube finally got the message that it isn't really a children's song, despite The Count in it. I really don't like much else by Gogol Bordello, but a friend has been to their concerts in Europe before the pandemic. She really likes them.Katie wrote:Xexo wrote:The Count sings "Start Wearing Purple" by Gogol Bordello

If you want to listen to just the sublime Adagio:
Mozart: Serenade No 10 for Winds 'Gran Partita', III. Adagio | LSO Wind Ensemble
I heard this live for the first time last Saturday. Muti is finishing up his tenure and he is showcasing the Orchestra, I feel. The first part was a Mozart Violin Concerto with concertmaster Chen as soloist. The serenade was of course to feature the winds. It is rare that I get to see chamber pieces as a part of the subscription series, so that was great in itself. But this? This was sublime. The Adagio is as great as advertised. Salieri was right.

And also Ravel’s Menuet Antique.
