A solid rendition that will be missed by me.
Wishbone on Washington (don't know about the Lincoln Ave. location) serves that type of Chicken (country) fried steak, when they have it as a special. I think it used to be Wednesdays, but I moved my office away from there over 10 years ago, so things might have changed. Call ahead for CFS special day.

The owners of Wishbone, the West Loop restaurant that earlier this year announced it was moving after 26 years, has found a new space. Co-owner Julie Nickson said they’re targeting an early fall move to the former Bin 36 space at 161 N. Jefferson Street.
Those who use the Clinton station on the Green/Pink Line or the Metra Ogilvie Transportation Center will be able to enjoy unique southern dishes with a Cajun spin at Wishbone restaurant. A long-time favorite originally located in the West Loop, Wishbone will move into the ground level of CTA Headquarters located at 567 W. Lake this summer with an anticipated fall opening. The new restaurant will occupy more than 5,500 square feet and operate five days a week, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wishbone will also have exclusive use of the outdoor dining area adjoining the space.
The Churro Waffle, which opened Monday at 2845 W. Irving Park Rd., will focus on breakfast and lunch fare.

I truly don't understand the logic of the location of this place. It's a stone's throw away from:
Once Upon A Bagel
1888 1st St.
If the new place is 1/2 as good as New York bagel and Bialy on Dempster, it will be better than Once upon a bagel and will get some of my business.

Layout seems sort of fast foody with a modest amount of seating on plastic chairs and tables. More seating than Nhu Lan has three doors west, though.
Yelp has a review dated June 17, supposedly the day after grand opening. Google shows three reviews, one of which is identical to the Yelp review. I wonder if any of these are by disinterested parties. Google shows hours as 11 AM to 9 PM. It did not look truly open a bit before 4 PM today; chairs were upside down.

Revival Social Club, the all-day restaurant that opened in November 2014 in the former M. Henrietta space at 1133 W. Granville Avenue, will close for good after service on Saturday.

My husband talked to him today when we saw him puttering around the building. He said he's aiming to open by the end of July and will have dinner and weekend brunch. Menu is listed on their website.
I don't know what "South African barbecue" means, but if it's any good, we'll be there often, given that we live about 100 feet away. I can't tell you how super, super, super stoked I am for *something* to go in that space. The building's owner (Otto Barone, for those of you familiar with this very outgoing Bowmanville/LS resident) has made endless promises of opening a breakfast/brunch/whatever spot without delivering, and we gaze at the building sadly on a regular basis.
