Why don't you ask Pizza Boy to pencil in the date of the LTH holiday party. I could see many people lining up just to see if he's for real. We could arrange for a sausage pizza, too, to make him comfortable.

I stand corrected. My sister tells me the Old Elm location is the original. Which was run by Ralph and which one by Louie, she told me but I forgot, but every night the one on Old Elm would call the one in Ravinia to find out what the take was for the night.

Breakfast this morning was the last remnants of the Il Forno pizza from yesterday's lunch. Our boy told me that he enjoyed it so much, he actually ate the middle pieces!

Day 9, baby! (that's our fairly lame 'Friday movie' on the right)

He mentioned that he liked the cheese and the dense, crispy crust but thought the sauce and meat were a little skimpy proportionately. I had a small taste and thought the cheese was great -- rich, sweet and silky (and very elastic, too). Problem is, there was so much of it, it was hard to taste the other components.

He's got a 4-day biz trip coming up. I'll be relaying cellphone shots and updates as I receive them.

BTW, I am in utter awe of Pizzaboy's accomplishment thus far. Not a chance I could have made it that long already. I still think he won't make it, but I'm rooting for him. It's probably gonna be a mind over matter thing starting real soon no matter how much you like it.

I used to really like Marisa's but it changed hands a few years back and hasn't been the same since. In fact, there's a glowing 'review' of the place hanging in their front window (or used to be) that I wrote many years ago. In any case, that's not too far from Edwardo's (Dundee, just east of Milwaukee), which he claims to love. So, we may well head out that way when he gets back to town.

I wish I could say that I agreed with you. Fact is, that worn-down look in his eyes is mainly due to the picture-taking. He hates it. When I ask him to wait before he eats (so I can grab some shots), he always obliges but it irritates the hell out of him. In fact, he said the part of his biz trip that he was most looking forward to was the 'no pictures of me eating for 4 days.' So, the picture-taking may be my best tactic to win. At this point, it's all I have available to throw in front the steamroller known as pizzaboy.

And then he'll have to skip any boxed lunches or food that is brought in , and then if he has clients or others to see in the evening, no steakhouses right? This may be the week for you Ronnie.

I hope you're right but he's already located several places near the resort that deliver pizza. *sigh*

He's already arranged for a fridge to be placed in his room. *double sigh*

During the buffets that are offered 3 times each day during the meetings he'll be attending, he plans to abstain and run upstairs to his room (meetings and lodging are at the same resort) to quickly grab an occasional slice to 2. *triple sigh*

At this point, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a slip-up of some kind.

Taking him to places he loves might not be the best strategy. Why not go on a search for the worst pizza you can find and make him eat it.
