A Jibarito "sandwich" but most specifically if you are so foolish/hungry as to try and drive and
eat one at the same time. I tried this a few years back, when La Palma had an outpost at the Humboldt Park Boathouse. A jibarito is a glorious thing, a very regionally specific gastronomic wonder, but it has no business attempting to be fast portable food. Wait. I mean, I had no right expecting it to be fast food the kind you can eat mindlessly in your car.
I almost veered my beater Volvo into oncoming traffic on Division since the steering wheel was so slippery whilst attempting to eat one. But I saved the vehicle and me and the Jibarito and the only casualty was my stupid work shirt. It had a grease stain stretching over my belly and the aroma of garlic that didn't really ever disappear.
It made for a good story . . . in the "I got this grease stain from . . ."
