I found these gorgeous peaches at the market. Picture perfect. I decided what better than to sautee them in a little truffle butter and fresh mint? I followed it with a bit of cream sauce (from the leftover bits in the pan) on top.

My dinner tonight. I would have preferred a medium rare to rare steak, but the GF likes her steak medium well so medium was a compromise. The middle is a butternut squash puree. It was delicious.
I must say that that was the best steak I have ever gotten from Dominick's, and for 6.99 a pound for a bone in sirloin...such a deal.

Are those really your carrots?

They really are - it's either the variety, we've got root-knot nematodes, or just the amount of rocks and hard stuff in the soil, but the yellow carrots were the only ones that came out so bizarre, most of the orange ones were normal (though got eaten) There was one that looked like a mother holding a baby, but the expressive bits got knocked off while I was washing it. At any rate, they made for quite the conversation piece.

I've come to the conclusion that no matter how many gigs my camera has, I'm never going to take photos as good as some of you guys. You all should put a book together.

A Smokey EGGsplosion This is my version of the perfect breakfast sandwich. Your choice of bread + some leftover smoked brisket (pictured here), pulled pork, or rib meat + an over-easy egg sprinkled with your go-to bbq rub while it's cooking + horseradish cheese ++ giardiniera relish = A Smokey EGGsplosion.
