Working my way thru 2- 6 packs waiting for my Lake County Binny's to get their shipment!
Nice beer again this year but the 10% is kicking my butt! Hard to have two in a night and three is a big mistake!

I was pleased to find it for $15.99 at Binnys (downtown yes) considering Vas Foremost and other places are selling it for $18.99 (plus tax). Looks like all the Whole Foods either have it or will get it tomorrow.

Got my sixer at Ev 1st @ 17.99. I'll share a bottle with anyone who wants to join me Friday night (of course, you'll have to know where I'll be Friday night).

It just arrived at Binny's in Algonquin. You can get tweets from the Beer Dept at that store here:

This year's batch hit Chicagoland this week. Anyone else pick some up? I was lucky to score some at Binny's Lincoln Park but haven't indulged yet! Perhaps tonight!

I've managed to get 5 six packs. Binny's had it for 15.99 with a limit of 1 six pack. Another place by me was selling it for 19.99 with a limit of 2. Got 3 total from Binny's (with help from my wife and her friend) and 2 from the other place.

I think that will set me for this time around.

I sampled it this weekend and it's awesome as always.

Got a case last Tuesday for $19.99 a six pack and will get some more today for 15.99. Plus a couple Surly Darkness 750mls to boot!

Apparently, Binny's Skokie sold out their entire allocation in less than a day. I was just a little too late (not the first time ...)

Not to worry you can buy it on Craigslist, only about a 200% mark up :?

probably can't buy it legally that way.

Not Hopslam but along similar seasonal hop bomb lines, Stone's Enjoy By 4.20.14 is all over right now and relatively affordable at 7.99 a bomber

I think it's great that as hard as it is to get this it's not nearly as hard to get Surly's Abrasive, or certainly Lagunitas Sucks, which people in other markets crave. And hell, I found a sixer of Hopslam a couple of days ago, so even that one isn't too evasive!

Sucks is one of my favorite beers lately. It's overtaken Zombie Dust as my "go-to" beer.

I just picked up Great Lakes Chillwave IIPA on Friday. That's a great beer that I'd put up against Hopslam. It tastes better than the Hopslams I have left but that could be because they're a few months old at this point. If you like hoppy IPA's definitely grab a 4-pack or 3.

It's back! Picked a case up today at Binny's South Loop.

Should be at other purveyors throughout the city as well. Twitter was useful in tracking down the batch at Binny's SL.

It seems distribution is more widespread this year - almost every place I called had some, had some and it was gone already or is expecting it Friday. Last year it was a bit scarce in bottles, but a lot of craft bars had it on tap.

Oh, and it is tasty, as usual!

    Also on draft there.

2017 version has shipped. Hearing it will be widely distributed (they made a lot this year) and is hitting stores this week - if it isn't in some already.

I miss Hopslam but now that I'm living in Colorado, I don't miss it that much... What's the price for a six-pack this year? $20?

Prices are all over the map as purveyors from previous releases try to gouge the uneducated that it's super rare this year and $20+ is not unusual. I even had a guy say $6/bottle was a deal! My liquor store contact was offered 'as much as he wanted' from the distributor and is at $17.

Shipping this week. Seems there will be ample supply again this year, but I doubt the prices come down.

When a bunch of it sits on the shelf, doesn't sell and loses its punch, maybe the price will then be adjusted to reflect reality.

Woodman’s Kenosha had an initial shipment of 40 cases, gone with the wind.
Just got another 8 cases, minus one case now.
    Say’s ‘Limit One’ six pack.
It helps to be a good customer.
Need to store in refrig according to the labeling.

All of the Jewel's and Binny's locations by me literally had pyramid stacks of Hopslam this year, with no limits on purchase amounts. First time ever.

Bell's drastically increased their production and distribution of Hopslam this year. Personally, I feel like the quality of the beer was just as good as ever....but it wasn't hard to acquire here in Illinois. Your Woodman's might be getting the short end of the deal. Maybe it's a Wisconsin thing?

Binny's on Dempster in Skokie was well stocked with Bells Hopslam for $14.97. Not really a beer drinker I bought a 6-pack just to see what the fuss was about.

Will be in Oak Brook tomorrow but no good place for cases!
    Woodman’s was $15.99.

I still have some in my fridge from 2 years ago. I just don't taste the "magic" anymore since there has been such a craft beer explosion since Hopslam was a thing. Not worth the ridiculously high price either.

Drink these fresh, the hops and added adjuncts into beers fade over time, and IPAs are particularly susceptible to this declination due to it's hop forward characteristics. IPAs are best on the day they are canned.
