Well, it's been over three years since we visited what Yelp had as one of “100 Places to Eat in the U.S.” on their radar. Let's return for some awesome Middle Eastern eats. As an added bonus, I'm sure we'll get to hear all about Jay's recent dining exploits out west. You can't put a price on that.

    HI,

This is a good place to arrive early. A lot of county employees descend on this place during the lunch hour.

    Regards,

If you guys want dessert, there are a few panaderias and paleterias on Grand between Papa's and Lewis. But some reviews mention free baklava...

Will be interested to hear the results, especially as some of the menu items don't mention onions. My kid loves Middle Eastern food and it's not real common in this area of town.

And FWIW, that Lewis store has unusual meat items like picanha, rose meat and goat plus excellent manteca casera.

Come on, Joel, it's not like you're on rickshaw.

I should be there. It was a self-directed food-centric trip out West, good tales.

It's more a matter of needing to be back for a 1PM meeting.

Barring an all-hands-on-deck level emergency this morning, I'll see you at 11, but SueF has a conflict.

Food and company were great. I had the gyros plate lunch special. Jay had the tilapia. Sorry, I don't recall what the others ordered. We shared a side of baba ghanouj and hummus. Complimentary baklava was tasty.

Definitely get there at 11 to avoid the lunch crowd from the courthouse.
