Please join Chefs Loi Tran & Kim Hoang Thi Nguyen at New Chinatown Restaurant (est. 1980) for a 3-course traditional Vietnamese family-style dinner hosted by Richard Tran, Vitaliy Vladimirov, and Dennison Adad; sponsored by the Obama Foundation. After dinner, guests will walk over to First Sip Café for drinks & sweets.

This multi-sensory dinner brings together not just food but history & urban planning for one very special evening to help #KeepArgyleAlive!

New Chinatown Restaurant (a.k.a New Chinatown) is one of the longest-running family-owned & operated restaurants in Uptown, located east of CTA's Argyle "L" stop. New Chinatown regulars Vietnamese clientele who work in the nail salon industry and is widely known as the "hang-out spot" for many of the Argyle community elders.

First Sip Café is Argyle's very first dedicated coffee shop, owned & operated by Argyle's sister duo Gigi and Erin.

"To get long" meant to make do, to make well of whatever we had; it was about having a long view, which was endurance, and a long heart, which was hope.
