I'm coming finally! Please add me and a possible +1.
I'll think about my contribution and post later.

So what do you do if you leave before the end? Leave your food or take it with you?

PS Cathy, the link to LaBagh doen't work.

    Hi,

Link now works to LaBagh Woods.

If you leave early, people tend to leave their food and do some tidying up before going. I have seen people take their food home, too, or move it onto something disposable.

I'm tentatively in +3 family members. Thinking of bringing some sparkling water and cool fruit to offset all the cooked food, but I'm open to suggestions to meet more pressing needs.

Please put me down for 1 -- not sure yet what I'll bring, but since I'll be coming a little late, I'll probably bring dessert, rather than something for earlier in the meal.

Is there a hard limit to the # of people who can attend?
The reason I ask is that I may have 2 extra little ones in tow - they're only 7 and they don't eat much  so I'm hoping it wouldn't be a problem if I end up bringing them along.

I'll be coming, certainly bearing many gifts. I'm still working out the details, but - for your spread sheet - it's safe to assume I'll have at least a Main dish.

I thought your Scottish Shortbread was a tradition?
    I look forward to it....

although I have tried a recipe recently for a Run Raisin Shortbread, and was thinking of that..

Well, it has been a tradition, but I thought some might be tired of it. But for you, irisarbor, I'd be delighted to bring shortbread.

So Cathy2 -- I guess you can put me down for Scottish shortbread.

I've had a decisive moment! I'm going to make a baked good of some sort with prune plums and probably cream cheese. I think those plums are best used in a cake or some such.

And I will also bring several bags of ice.

Me +1, please. I might have to leave early if my +1 has a work shift, but I think we're driving seperately. I'm thinking about making a Thai stew called Moo Pa Lo. Pork belly braised in soy sauce with garlic and star anise or perhaps some Filipino Chicken Pancit. Not sure yet. I may bring both.
Have a good day in the kitchen.

    Hi,

I will be updating the list tonight.

Since the most popular dish appears to be: To Be Decided. :)

If you already have ideas, just put them down.

    Thanks!

The Chow Poodle and I will be there. In a sea of indecision, we've actually come up with our dishes already. I'll be bringing "Four Cheese Racque & Cheese"; potentially made with cheese brought back from my impending trip to Montreal. The Chow Poodle will be bringing mini-baklava.

I'm fairly certain I'll be bringing some type of gazpacho - having too much fun with this year's tomato bounty to pass up the chance.

Not a problem, plus more kids to play with the pinata.

When it is pinata time, we want all the parents of the participating kids present to oversee them.

Bear tickets sold, the Bride and I will be there.

In the spirit of predictability, and seasonality, I am going with yet another Watermelon/tomato salad - a blue cheesy variation sounds good this year. Yeah, I have done it before, but the melons and tomatoes are too damned good.

I'm going to attempt to recreate a version of the beloved Veal Bologna that I used to buy from Joe the Sausage King when his shop was still open. I'll also bring some accoutrements for it. The trial emulsion I made tonight turned out pretty well.

I plan on bringing a few other items too, like some sort of adult beverage at the very least.
