Handsome Furs' What We Had. The album, Plague Park, is darn good, but it seems I can hardly go a day without listening to that one song. It has become my jam.

Does anyone have a source for Vietnamese music? I have a colleague who is very interested and can't find any online.

I'm pretty sure I do, but I haven't seen it for quite a while. My source for the web site is in Brazil. Please give me a day or so to hear from him.

stevez: it seems we're up the creek. There was a site but it seems it's been taken down. My friend sent my this from Japan. I hope it suffices.

If your colleague is looking for CDs, cdroots.com has half a dozen CDs of Vietnamese music listed.

Not Vietnamese, but some guy on soundcloud uploaded seven thousand tracks of music from Myanmar, and in other news Soundcloud might lose a copyright lawsuit and have to shut down soon. So listen to the completely unidentifiable music from Myanmar while you still can:

I associate the 'The Sound of Silence' with Simon and Garfunkel. I heard a new variant during a recent Blacklist episode by Ian Garvey, it was like listening to a new song.

I'm listening to numerous tracks I've been asked to play on. Literally hrs worth of music from assorted producers and players. A sliver lining of the plague is I'm learning protools and now have the ability to record in my home and overdub tracks. If this keeps up I may not have to cook for a living anymore, which I love but is not first in my heart. Have completed 3 projects in the last month. Fwiw, Jazzfood was based on music to begin with i.e "solid technique coupled w/tasteful improv."
