    If you're between 30-60 and love to eat, cook and talk about food, we'd love your opinion for a food study in Evanston, Wilmette, Skokie, or North Rogers Park. The full study pays $1100 for a 2-day workshop, but there is a less time commitment-heavy portion (1 hour interview) for $150.

    Neither the post nor the survey says you have to live in one of those towns -- do you? If so, I wasted my time filling out the survey.

    I got through a good bit of the survey. It seemed it tossed me out when I let it be known that my wife works in a retail bakery. I expected the survey to go on longer. Did anyone get past that point?

    Nope - I got bumped as soon as I admitted a family member worked in a grocery store.

    Unfortunately I am over 60, and so I assume I am not eligible. I used to do a few focus groups a year, but it is harder to find one for people in their 60's. Nobody pays a $1,000 for two days either. That is really good money.

    Thanks for trying everyone. Unfortunately, market research does not allow for family members to work in an industry related to the study. I know... it's a little crazy.

    The study states that you must live in Evanston or within 4 miles.

    And again, unfortunately, the age range is 26-60, only because that's the demographic for this food product. But I've done lots of studies for baby-boomers so don't feel bad - - you're not forgotten.

    Please pass it along if you know anybody that would be interested.

    Actually, no, it doesn't state that (I know from going through the survey), and neither did your post. So I wasted my time on it.

    Report closed. We moved this to the Pro forum (from OCC), which is where it belongs. We don't know who they are but feel that folks here can make their own informed decisions about whether to participate or not.

    Speaking as folks who live in Evanston and one of whom meets the age qualification (and neither of whom work for food-related employers), we note that the Lovely Dining Companion was able to complete the entire questionnaire which, in our opinions, seemed pretty reasonable, on point, and professionally done. I have no idea what was questionable or why it was so quickly considered spam but we have no reason to believe it to be either. If and when we hear more, I'll report back. But I can't help wonder whatever happened to giving someone the benefit of the doubt.

    I have/had no problem with your post. You reported your experience. You didn't call it spam or report it to the mods as spam. Other(s) did and proudly posted about it.

    For what it may be worth, the Lovely Dining Companion filled out the entire survey and submitted it without incident. That was on 2/8. She has not heard a word. If they're not interested, that's fine. But we sort of had expected to hear something by now. Hello, fenell?

    Market research firms are like that. They have ever shifting criteria from their client and sometimes there's a definite hurry up and wait effect.
