I hightailed it to Danada Whole Foods yesterday. I had misread your post thinking I would be paying $22.49 for a wheel (still a great deal.) I literally gasped out loud when I rung up my wheel at ~$16. I almost marched back to grab another, but this was already my second of the season (paid ~$50 to have one shipped, dumb) and I didn't want to feel greedy.

Deerfield Whole Foods has a January batch on sale for $25/lb. Don't remember seeing it in January before.

I went there for the sale before Christmas. Got Rogue River Blue and Pleasant Ridge Reserve, among others. Both just absolutely amazing cheeses.

The 2024 RCR will be ready to ship the week of Monday 10/28.

    Rush Creek Reserve

Fwiw, and in contrast to some posts above, if it's burdensome for Uplands to process orders directly, you'd never guess it from the wording of their email:

The season's first Rush Creek Reserve are ripe and ready to ship. Order now to receive yours in time for Thanksgiving!

Once you've ordered yours, send another as a gift! The cheeses travel in beautiful gift boxes, shown below, with personalized gift notes. Orders over $100 qualify for free shipping.

As always, email or call us anytime at 608-935-5558, and thanks again for all of your support.

    All hail cheese season! :D

Ordered two and two Extra Aged Pleasant Ridge Reserve about on 10/16 when I got the email. Initially Extra Aged was not available but I just checked and it was available so changed my order.
Shipping is free for $100 purchase.

Just bought 2 at the Deerfield Whole Foods. Again this year they are having an amazing sale compared to the online price. their regular price is 39.99/lb. The sale price is $10/lb off plus the extra 10% so my 2 were both around $16 each.

I'm looking at my nearby Whole Foods and I'm seeing the $39.99 price, not the sale price. Do you know if this price is at all stores, or just Deerfield?

    Thanks

I thought it was all stores. My friend in Florida said its on sale down there. The actual cheese is marked at the full price but there was a sign with it showing the sale. It rang up at the sale price. Basically ends up being about a third off.
The bizarre thing was that I didnt see the cheese at first and when I asked the cheese guy if they had it he said they were not getting it this year and that no whole foods in the midwest were getting it. He was gone by the time I actually saw it so I couldn't correct him. Maybe he was trying to protect his secret stash!

    Thank you for responding, Will.

I went to the Park Ridge store and bought 2. There was a sign for the $10 off per pound. With Prime discount they rang up at $15.92 and $15.11.

There was a man stocking the cheese counter and I told him "I took the 2 Rush Creek cheeses that you have out" and his response was "you're lucky, that's all that we have".

I'm guessing that if this a deal that you want, best move very soon.

Was in the neighborhood with a half hour to kill, so I stopped into the Deerfield Whole Foods and picked up what I was told were their last 2 wheels of RCR. I presume they'll get more but that's just a guess.

I still plan on ordering some stuff directly from the Uplands site, too.

Picked up a couple of wheels at WF Sauganash ($35 total for both). They're dated 12/10/2024, so they're a couple of weeks old already.

Does anyone know how long they are good for before going bad? Can these be frozen? I would like to give as gifts but don’t know how long they last. I know I can order gifts from Uplands but it would be easier if I could just get them now at my Whole Foods which has it, and hold or freeze until the holidays

    From their website:

Each cheese is shipped with a sticker on its packaging, showing the date by which it should be eaten. Typically, this “serve-by” date is 5-6 weeks from the date of shipment. For example, cheeses shipped in mid-November will have “serve-by” dates in late December or early January. Each cheese weighs approximately 12 ounces.
