That's a really good point: fish used to be cheaper than beef. I don't see how a fish & chips meal is going to be price-competitive with a burger combo meal.
However, if it's targeted at the fast-casual instead of the fast food, the price point might be high enough to work: Chipotle vs Taco Bell; Five Guys vs McD's... they've just got to market it right (and, sadly, probably offer non-fried options and/or keto breading....)
