Interesting. That space wasn't built out all that long ago. Perhaps we can hope they're replacing those unfortunate chairs?

Fingers crossed for a better chair/table configuration.

Hello to the best customers in the Chicagoland area!
We would like to remind you that Tiztal Café will be closed for the month of October for some major renovations to our storefront and kitchen. We are very excited to show you these changes and we expect to be back November 1st to continue to offer our amazing Chilaquiles and Oatmeal shakes! We will keep you posted with any updates.
Thank you all for your support throughout these years and we hope to see you all at our Grand Reopening!
I missed this post in July (it was at the end of page 13), but I thought I'd re-post it for those of us who might be interested because Lefty's looks exactly like the Pequod/Burt style.bweiny wrote:New pizza option opened about 2 weeks ago in downtown Wilmette:

They have both pan and thin with a few fried appetizers and salads. I hope to give the pan a try within a week or two.

Pequod insider tip: Don't like bready dough? Order LIGHT DOUGH at Pequod and you'll get it thinner like Burt's (or Lefty's I guess).bweiny wrote:Ram4 wrote:I missed this post in July (it was at the end of page 13), but I thought I'd re-post it for those of us who might be interested because Lefty's looks exactly like the Pequod/Burt style.bweiny wrote:Lefty's Pizza Kitchen

The fact this place didn't have any decent photos of their pizza on either Google or Yelp was driving me crazy. I eventually caved and got their pan 2.5 weeks ago (picked up at halftime, right before NU's collapse vs Akron).
As you state, it is in the mold of Pequod's. However, since I'm not that big a fan of Pequod's, I liked Lefty's a little more because it wasn't as bready, w/ a base closer to Malnati's in thickness. The only topping was spinach, so I can't speak to their sausage. I'm hoping to try the thin this month, since I prefer that style 98% of the time.
