    Hi,
My school is looking to purchase food warmers for our annual International Night. We cannot afford reusable chafing dishes/sets so we are looking to purchase the wire holders that disposable aluminum pans can sit in with sterno underneath. Does anyone have any ideas of the most economical way to purchase these? We have obviously looked at Amazon but are looking to see if there is a better (cheaper) source than that. We are looking for about 15 of these.

    Thanks,

Party City also had some when I was there the other day, but I can't comment on price. If you cater any of the food, we've had them included in the past; perhaps if you cater a smaller order, they might tack on any extras that you need.

Amazon has a 9-pack for $79 (not including Sterno). Can't imagine finding them cheaper.

If it's for your school, you can try asking a place in your area that does major catering business to donate them? I know our church has done that in the past with success.

    Hi,

I could lend you six frames, if you'd like.

Costco south of Midway Airport is very food service centric. They may have the sterno and aluminum trays pretty cheap.

Continental Sales at Cicero and 63rd always has very inexpensive aluminum trays, too.

Gordon Food Service (GFS) has them, either as sets with sterno, or racks and pans and fuel separately. I bought a few recently for a buffet, but I can't remember the price. Not expensive.

Sams Club also has them and if purchased for school uses, it should be tax exempt too.
