I wonder if the beer itself will get a price increase, as well.

Seems like they're going to provide a sample again of this year's Dark Lord for each ticket. Which is nice -- one thing that bugged me last year was that there was practically no way of trying Dark Lord outside of opening a bottle or waiting in the exceptionally long line for the brewpub (via Twitter and in response to what the $15 ticket gets you: Gets you in, guarantees you a sample of this year's DL, guarantees you the opportunity to buy your allotment, bands, fun. etc).
    best,

So basically the same as every other year.....I sure hope someone didn't think too hard about that question.

    Phew, I got 2 for group B.

That being said, I was in during the first minute and could not get it to recognize the catchpaw in Chrome and would up having to use IE instead. Tickets were sold out by the time I got in (12:07) via Explorer, but I kept trying and managed to get 2 eventually. Stressful.

We had three computers going. One got through, so got two tix for Group B. Rich, you can still get tickets ... I just saw that two tix are already listed on Ebay ... $495 for the pair.

The fun is starting on Craigslist as well. Someone is selling ONE for $400.

Ditto. This is one of the days I've been looking forward to all year! Put me in the virtual line after Rich for any extra tickets! It seems most people I know got shut out this year. :(

I know about 10 people who were trying and only one managed to get tickets. I was in a meeting that got interrupted so two of us could try for tix. We were in right at noon but the connection was slow & neither of us got tix. If any has one to spare, I would be happy to take it off your hands.

They're listed up to $800. More shockingly, some have actually SOLD for $375 for a single ticket.

FWIW, people from beer advocate are bidding on these tickets with the intent of leaving negative feedback after not paying. I'm not sure if this helps or hurts the situation. It just makes it look to other bidders they're getting a good deal by paying $200 if they think someone else paid $375.

Last year I seem to remember that Dark Lord was on tap the day of the sale. Does anyone know if it remains on tap at the pub the day after?

I have a friend who tried unsuccessfully to get a ticket, isn't too keen to pay the high premium being asked on eBay & CL, but would love to introduce DL to a few other friends. I'm hoping I can point them to the brewpub on the 29th...because otherwise I know I'm going to get a lot of requests asking me to part with a bottle.

(A friend saw the Sunday morning announcement re. tickets for sale at the brewery, so drove to Muenster yesterday morning & snagged me a ticket, too.)

I don't think the DL makes it through the day, so I would say no, it won't be available on Sunday.

Also, it seems like they are going back to the 'golden ticket' also being good for a taste of Dark Lord, which means that they will have it at the beer stands in addition to inside the brewpub. I would guess that this would make it even more unlikely the the DL will last until Sunday.

I'm pretty sure if they have any kegs of it left, they will use it for other special events instead of leaving it on tap in the pub.

We have a friend that would like to join us for DLD that needs a Group B ticket. If anyone has an extra, he's willing to trade earlier Dark Lord, cash, or a combination thereof, please feel free to PM me.

Also, has anyone heard anything about transportation down to Muenster this year? I know Reggies typically runs a bus, are there any other bars offering a similar service?

*Edited to note that I'm looking specifically for a Group B ticket

This is coming up quicker than I realize I guess. Also I hear that the "surprise" band (billed as "Ghan Jovi" on the web site) is going to be a favorite band of mine. I have session A tickets and I've never lasted long enough on Dark Lord Day to hear any of the bands, much less the headliner. What time do the bands play? The Schedule link on the website still says "TBA"

I'm on a bus arranged by a friend of a friend leaving from somewhere on the north side. Not sure if there are extra seats (there weren't last I heard, but things change). I'll check with my friend to see if there are seats to spare.

They usually start fairly early...maybe 2 or 3. I made it to see Monotonix a couple years ago. I think they started at 7ish.

I have it from a good source that the band is High On Fire.

Jim, I thought I had left before the bands played last year, to find out later that they actually were playing for a while, we just couldn't hear them from where we were. Perhaps you had a similar experience. Turkob, RAB and I are in group A as well, see you in there!

Out of curiosity, what would you consider early for group B? Trying to determine how early to get there.

I had actually been thinking of getting there around 11 due to the lines. I'm great at standing around and drinking beer and all, but it's supposed to be raining, cold, etc., so was considering earlier than usual to get in as fast as possible.
