Alright, since my grandmother passed I've never had potato pancakes as good as hers... Ya, call me picky. Any Polish places in the city or NW burbs worth the effort?

    Thanks!!

A place that has gotten loads of love from LTH is Smak-Tak in Jefferson Park.

Pierogi Place in Rolling Meadows is essentially Polish fast food, with a limited menu, but they do have very good potato pancakes.

I've actually driven past it a few times. Have you been to another place close called the European Crystal? I think it may be more of a banquet hall.
