LOL! I don't think I've ever seen them sit with the sugar still atop them long enough to snap a picture. It usually gets blown on the n00b in the group before the camera can even come out. :D

Perhaps this is less random than I thought.

Does the sign look familiar ? (not that it's much of a logo)

I thought my mom was crazy when she asked me if the Ghareeb Nawaz in Toronto were the same owners as the Ghareeb Nawaz I visited in Chicago. Turns out ol' Ma was right.

You know, it now occurs to me that Khan's was, in it's original location, the restaurant called Khan's Bar B Que Tonite. I used to have the toughest time finding Khan's because the larger sign with the larger text said Bar B Que Tonite.

The many alternative spellings of BBQ always make for tough searching, but I saw references to another well-regarded Pakistani place called BBQ Tonight in Dallas. My suspicion, based on similar naming trends among desi restaurants, is that a popular place in Pakistan is called "BBQ Tonight" and the various US and Canadian outposts pay tribute. You might ask the folks at Khan about the connections.

PS, see the following re Devon's place in the diaspora:

The old Khan's had the identical signage to a BBQ Tonight place in Karachi, fwiw.

    I noticed it immediately.
