    Here's an interesting article fom the Guardian on some flowers that are sometimes mistakenly described as edible and are used as garnishes and cake decorations but are in fact dangerous. There's a list of flowers that really are edible at the end of the article. BTW, I think there's an editing error in the figure caption, which starts, "Nasty or nice? Fortunately, the former..." I think that should say "the latter."
