Been slacking in my sign postings - One of my favorite things to do:

Zeller Inn - Ottawa, IL.



Posted about this place before here on LTH, been a hotel/restaurant/bar off and on since 1871. This is a true drinking palace. Pressed tin ceiling, tiffany lamps, intricate tile work on the bar, etc. Shot and a beer spot that has been restored/maintained fantastically.

Ive been out here 10 years, and have never eaten here - I do get alot of veggies from the farmstand that shares the parking lot though., just dug the signage on this day

Was up wasting time in the Hinkley / Waterman area when I spotted this relic - not food but any neon is cool - Shady Lawn Motel - Hinkley, IL (closed):

The brothers have been to 54 bars that feature the sign out front, sharing the establishments' atmosphere, food offerings, decor and how much each charges for an Old Style. The blog also has a map of where they've been, including a few dozen spots on the North and Northwest sides.

What a fun idea!

from left to right, the happy pigs(they are smiling if you look close) light up and "jump" into the grinder:



which pumps out sausage that forms the word "sausage".
