restaurant equipment showroom?

Does anyone have experience with dealers of large restaurant equipment (such as ranges, griddles, broilers) that have showrooms in the Chicagoland area? Are places like Schweppes in Lombard and March in Addison decent? Any others? I basically want to see some of this stuff "up-close", and chat a bit with whoever's on the floor. Thanks.

check out city food equipment/Anderson brothers on Oakton in Elk Grove Village. Nearly everything there is used (which I prefer), but it's a fairly large place with a big showroom and a ton of stuff to check out.

Still looking for something in the Chicago area, visit Olympic Store Fixtures. In their showroom they have both new and used equipment, smallwares, you name it. Great people, too. They have an on-line catalog that displays a lot of items. Call for prices on any items.
