Does anyone have a good recommendation for a few all-around fish or shrimp pastes, to be used in many different recipes? Currently I use a Filipino sauteed shrimp fry, the Lingayen brand which is very good in my opinion, but recently picked up a small jar of raw Thai shrimp paste, the Twin Chicken brand- which I have yet to experiment with. I found both at Golden Market in Elgin, which is excellent, by the way.

There must be dozens if not hundreds of these kinds of products imported into the states now, from Korea all the way to Malaysia, to Indonesia. I have an increasingly wide palatte of dishes I will make, but don't wish to fill a fridge with 20 or 30 different fermented seafood paste jars. They kind of smell, you know? Thanks.

    I use https://www.amazon.com/Tra-Chang-Shrimp ... rimp+paste

It is highly recommended on several asian blogs that I read.
