Sadly, Elea, which is linked to in Cathy2's post, closed in November according to their Facebook page. It was a great little market and I bought Titan there multiple times. But I want to say I've also seen the oil at Treasure Island on Clybourn, which would make sense given their many other Greek specialty offerings. Were you to go that route I'd call ahead to check, but I don't think I'm making it up.

Just called T.I. on Clybourn. NO.
Carried in the past, no tag on the shelf.

Apologies, Wally! I'm glad you checked. I'll keep my eyes peeled. I know I've seen it around recently.

If you are looking for an excellent Greek olive oil, this has been my go to for a while now.

Village Batch - comes from the guys that own tiny Riverside Foods in tiny Riverside IL

    https://www.villagebatch.com/

It's fairly widely sold - there's a map under the contacts tab.

HarvesTime Foods carries multiple varieties of Greek olive oil including Grelia. The owners are Greek. The store has a very diverse customer base including supplying much of what is left of the Greek population in Lincoln Square.

A family friend imported Titan Olive Oil and also owned a retail store on Halsted. He passed away several years ago and the family no longer imports the brand. They still own the rights to the trademark.

Village Batch from Riverside Foods is excellent. We have used it for years, we make a point to bring it back home to Kentucky.

    Thanks.
I talked with him after his falling out with Treasure Island.
Told me about his daughters, Titan and where I could but it.
I did for years. After he died, the daughter said she could not get it any more.
Bought other oil from her, Grilla??
They closed, can find Grilla , but not Titan.
    Any possibilities?

Andy's Fruit Ranch has been importing extra virgin olive oil from Crete in 17 l. containers and then bottling it in the store in 1 l. and 500 ml. dark glass bottles. We have gone through several liters and are quite pleased with it. The regular is $7.99 for a liter. I have not tried the organic, which is priced higher.

I cannot tell any difference in taste compared to the Artimis xvoo of Koroneiki variety from Crete bought at HarvesTime. Colavita is very bland by comparison, so this oil is not for everyone's taste.

Web site is not too useful beyond location and hours. This is an interesting store that has changed a lot over the years. It started out as a fruit and vegetable store in a shacky building where the southeast part of the parking lot is today. Produce has become secondary in recent years.
