As a very very long time fan of Vienna Chicago style hot dogs presently exiled to Boca,I couldn't be happier....if they're natural casing I'll be even happier. If there is even an average Italian Beef I'll lease a table.

If you're in the area on Monday, please stop by and introduce yourself. I'll be in on Monday from 10:30am-6pm and Tuesday from 10:30am to 1pm. The dogs and Polish are skinless. How about a char cheddar Polish or a char salami? Natural casings are the char grilled, half pound "Big Wally's." Everything's from Vienna Beef, which includes corned beef, pastrami, chili, soups, corn dogs, and mini corn dogs. They'll also feature a fresh, hand patted, char cheddar burger with Merkt's cheddar cheese.

Just out of curiosity, why would anyone do this? Is it a regional taste thing? I don't know anyone who prefers a skinless dog. If you are trying to appeal to Chicago expats by bringing in Vienna, which it seems is the idea, then anyone who would care would be turned off by a skinless dog.

Pardon the late response! The majority of Vienna Beef hot dog stands in the United States sell skinless products. Most natural casing Vienna Beef products are sold in Chicago, Arizona, California, and Florida. Hotdog-Opolis decided to sell skinless and have been very successful since 2009 with a loyal following, including many Chicago expats. I'm in Boca next week, for the first time, teaching Hot Dog University classes. My students taking the Hot Dog Stand Course will be trained behind-the-counter at Hotdog-Opolis.
