A friend of mine is looking for an Italian restaurant for his rehearsal dinner. Home base for the wedding is the Palmer House so he doesn't want to travel too far north or west. Mia Francesca was the original option but the one on Clark is not handicapped accessible, at least not the upstairs rooms. He may still try to rent out the entire Taylor Street location, but was looking for any other suggestions. Ideas?

i work (office mgr) at the Grotto on State restaurant at 1030 N. State - just behind Gibson's. We're a classic Italian Steakhouse, and we have a great privat event space that fits up to 100 people. Our executive Chef is Abraham Aguirre, who worked for and developed many menu items for Harry Carrey's. We do a lot of rehearsal dinners here, and i think our menu packages are pretty reasonable (and there isn't a room charge). If you want to check out our regular menu you can go to our website at www.grottoonstate.com
