    On the former site of Bogie's Barn, The Loft, and Stagger Lee's is now The Red Barn Restaurant and Brewery, which opened October 4. Right now they have a limited soft-opening menu (about 8 sandwiches including the Beyond Burger, a wide array of starters, and a few salads). The drinks menu has a half-dozen red and white wines, and 27 taps, 3 of which are house-brewed.

    Not being a beer guy, I tried a Macintosh Semi-Sweet cider, too sweet, no character to it. SueF's pinot noir was quite nice though.

    She had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, very tasty with a Korean buffalo sauce; I had the pulled pork sandwich which was a little sweet and the meat a little tough (reheated?) but overall very tasty -- they have a smoker on site, and the pulled pork appears in several dishes. Fries were well browned but not especially crisped.

    Service was pretty good, but the place is rather loud. Compared to previous configurations, they've taken out some of the interior walls to expand bar area, which just lets all the noise rattle around the whole place.

    We'll try them again in a couple weeks, see what the menu shapes up to be. Hoping for a patty melt to replace the great one Bogies Barn/The Loft did.
