Attempted to go there tonight. At 6:30 all tables and bar stools were taken and at least 20 people were standing among the tables drinking. This is clearly not the place to go eat dinner and have a good brew. This is a place to have a brew and a little food.

Well, it might depend the timing. Friday night prime time probably isn't going to play out like a weeknight.

filed for bankruptcy in 2014 but remained open after restructuring its debt.A voicemail recording at the Lansing ice cream parlor and chocolate shop on Ridge Road in downtown Lansing said it was closed for remodeling. The owners did not respond to messages and the website was down, which is often not a good sign.

A solid rendition that will be missed by me.
Wishbone on Washington (don't know about the Lincoln Ave. location) serves that type of Chicken (country) fried steak, when they have it as a special. I think it used to be Wednesdays, but I moved my office away from there over 10 years ago, so things might have changed. Call ahead for CFS special day.

October 29 appears to be the opening date at 161 N. Jefferson Street, but it’s not finalized. Crews have given the former Bin 36 wine bar space more than a facelift. The space is a little smaller than the restaurant at Washington which closed on October 14.
The new Mag Mile food hall from Au Cheval’s Brendan Sodikoff and company should now open at the end of November.

Driving past on our way home from work and there is a Grand Opening sign with patrons inside. West Ridge and Budlong Woods is become quite the spot for Pho!
Four years after opening its first restaurant near Edgebrook, the owners of King Pho have opened a second restaurant. It’s called King Pho2 and it’s a Vietnamese restaurant with a familiar menu. 5659 N. Lincoln Avenue.

Chef Curtis Duffy has picked his next destination, almost a year after Grace abruptly closed amid a dispute with the acclaimed restaurant’s owner. Duffy and former Grace general manager Michael Muser plan to open a new restaurant on the ground floor of Fulton West, an office building in the city’s Fulton Market district, according to people familiar with the deal.
I am not waiting for this with bated breath. How somebody plans to put a high-volume pizza restaurant in that space with no parking is beyond me.
The pizzeria never became a destination and mostly drew local families.

This sentence from the Eater story is no surprise to me:The pizzeria never became a destination and mostly drew local families.

Here is a possibility: Like the Milwaukee Avenue corridor, many residents of Lincoln Square come from outside Chicagoland where crispy, tavern-style pizza is virtually unknown. Also, the neighborhood is affluent and perhaps many residents would rather eat Neopolitan or “artisan” (Steve Dolinsky’s term) pies than old time-y Chicago thin crust pizza.
