Menu item: "Kitakata" Ramen
Welp, this place seems to be doing fine, business-wise. Party of 2 on Sunday night at 5PM experienced a 45 minute wait. But it makes sense: the ramen is great. A little "plain", but in a very good way. The slices of pork are translucent and soft, the broth is pleasantly bright and not greasy, and the crumpled noodles are tender.
While waiting, two separate conversations broke out among patrons trying to rank the NW suburbs ramen shops:
Santouka,
Shinchan,
Misoya, and now Kitakata. Opinions varied but it never came to blows. I need to decide for myself after consuming all of them in one day. Good thing google says the total driving time would be 25 min
