Hi all - My wife and I moved away 3 years ago and are returning for a weekend. We have all day Friday to ourselves, and we currently plan to hit up one or more of our favorites for food and drinks in our old hood (Wicker Park/Bucktown). The list includes Big Star, Lillie's Q, Handlebar, and a few others.

My question is, are we missing out on anything new and totally awesome that we wouldn't know about but would be stupid to miss if we're there for a day? Ideally someplace where we can hang out for a while, preferably with outdoor space if its a nice day. Willing to expand beyond WP/BT, though we'll be coming in on the Blue Line and eventually need to make our way to Lakeview by early evening.

Appreciate any ideas you have. Thanks!

Fat Rice and their Macanese cuisine.

    Dos Urban Cantina for Mexican.

    Yusho for contemporary Asian.

I haven't been to Quiote (Mexican) yet but it's gotten a lot of good press.

Even though Jam has been around for a while, I still love it for breakfast/brunch/lunch.

All are convenient to the Blue Line.
