Please post all applicable, basic news on this thread.

If you have something substantive to post about a place, please start a new thread (or search for an exising one and post there), as important details will almost certainly get lost and forgotten in this thread.

    Important Reminder:

    LTH,

Please, do not post about a closing without making absolutely certain that your information is correct and accurate in every way.

Please, do not post rumors of closings without linking to a credible, 3rd-party source that substantiates your report. (i.e. "Eater.com reports . . ." is ok)

It's far more important to be accurate than early with your information. The best course of action may be to make a phone call to the establishment before posting anything. But whatever you do, make sure you are 100% correct before posting about a closing on this thread or any other in these forums.

    Thanks again,

Brown's Chicken at 5601 W. Lawrence is closed.
The signs are hastily painted over with a roller applied black paint and a hand written note on the door states:

"Store closed - lost our lease"

Most of the appliances are gone but the circus themed model railroad and paraphernalia appear to still be there.

I can't say I'm devastated but I shall miss their fried mushrooms.

This may be old news, but Naniwa on Wells has closed.
We called today to order delivery, and was told that the owners simply got tired of doing it for so long.
It is too bad. It was our chosen place for delivery for a long time.

All the Bow Truss closed indefinitely as Tadros' deal falls through. Of course, it isn't Phil's fault. It never is. And even though he said payroll and rent were most important, he thought a loan was coming so he allegedly paid some bills that didn't include rent, payroll, or employee insurance. If that is to be believed.

I wonder how many of these stories we have to read before everyone gets the hint Phil Tadros is someone that you should avoid.

I live by the Mariano Park /Viagra Triangle area. A good man had that stand for 12 years and then the City gave it to Phil. They still are awaiting their first rent payment.
