Ate there twice and the just-okay rooftop setting was easily their best feature. And it was just okay.

Hi- It does not surprise me that Wilde and Greene closed. I went in the place a few times, and it was major expensive, and I never saw them doing lots of business. I wonder if they are going to convert it back to a food court similar to what they had before with the McDonald's etc.? The old food court I actually eat in occasionally when it was there.

You're right. The new Naf Naf Grill will be in Lincolnshire. Getting it confused with the new Trader Joe's coming to Libertyville.

A hand-written sign on the door says "CLOSED -- Thank you for your patronage." Other signs of its hasty closing are all the furniture, equipment, signage, et cetera, are untouched. I don't know if it's going to trade hands and re-open or if they just decided to shut the lights off and lock the door and call it quits in the middle of a shift or what.

Rejoice, Two-Way lovers! I drove by today and there is a fresh sign in the window saying "Reopening Soon Under New Management".

That's some good news, Steve. When the For Sale sign went up on the building a few months ago, I got nervous; when the sign came down and the lights went off, I got somewhat despondent. I figured a real estate agent, branch bank, or pet homeopathy clinic would be moving in shortly. Glad that the new owners didn't decide to put in a different business. I'll remain cautiously optimistic until I see how the New Management manages. Here's hoping they re-hire the Old Cook and the Old Staff, who were key to the excellence of the "Old" Two-Way Grill.

I drove by the Bunny Hutch in Lincolnwood and something serious is going on.
They're working on the outside of the building and it looks really great.
Whoever took over the spot is giving the place a much needed facelift !!!

Walked by Fiorenza in Forest Park this morning and noticed the front gate padlocked and a couple No Trespassing by order of the Sheriff of Cook County signs on the door

Since I need a professional media publication to verify such a claim, here you go, but I only have one source.

That would be one of the most dramatic turnarounds in restaurant history, should that turn out to be the case.

Reserving judgment til it's done, but I'm dubious. There was something comforting about it still being open (and in dire need of at least a powerwashing) even though I haven't stepped inside in over a decade (and I'm a few minutes away). Unless the food becomes amazing I think a facelift is a mistake.

I believe it will have the same food as the one on Western, (Same dogs/fried shrimp) but will also have the griddle style burger they are putting on the menu for the new one on Ashland/Barry.

I'm pretty sure then Ben Li, former co-owner of now-shuttered Double Li, is also involved in this restaurant.

More importantly, to me at least, is that two of the partners—Ben Li and Wan Cai Li—were formerly known as Double Li. I've never been so excited about the opening of an Asian fusion restaurant in a suburb I never set foot in.

Owner is a relative of mine. It should be opened in about 2 weeks. The food will be the same as the other locations, same suppliers, same cooking methods, no shortcuts.

I have independently confirmed this from two sources, although the projected opening date has ranged from "next week for sure" to "it might take up to a month". Either way, this is the best hot dog/shrimp news to hit my neighborhood in many years.
