You're right. The new Naf Naf Grill will be in Lincolnshire. Getting it confused with the new Trader Joe's coming to Libertyville.milz50 wrote:grits wrote:Per Naf Naf's Facebook page, they're opening a Libertyville location in early 2014.
Actually, I believe it is Lincolnshire...

With a very heavy heart, we are announcing the closing down of Curried restaurant at Wells street due to some very critical financial challenges. We thank each one of you for your support over these years. We have put up the location for sale and hope that a new restaurant will open up soon to serve you all.

A hand-written sign on the door says "CLOSED -- Thank you for your patronage." Other signs of its hasty closing are all the furniture, equipment, signage, et cetera, are untouched. I don't know if it's going to trade hands and re-open or if they just decided to shut the lights off and lock the door and call it quits in the middle of a shift or what.

Since I need a professional media publication to verify such a claim, here you go, but I only have one source.

Reserving judgment til it's done, but I'm dubious. There was something comforting about it still being open (and in dire need of at least a powerwashing) even though I haven't stepped inside in over a decade (and I'm a few minutes away). Unless the food becomes amazing I think a facelift is a mistake.

What is your source for this? They have publicized that they're opening in the old Dona Torta space on Ashland and Barry but this is the first that I've seen anything about the Bunny Hutch. Do tell !!
